News from the Executive Director
Dear Luther North Family,
Luther North College Prep has been blessed with many wonderful faculty and staff throughout the history of our institution and today we would like to thank one of these people for his dedicated service. In addition to the many roles he has undertaken over his 35 year career at LNCP, Tom Wiemann most recently served as the Principal during one of the most difficult periods in the school's existence. The LNCP Board of Trustees thanks Tom for his dedicated service to the students, faculty and families that make up our learning community! Tom's service at LNCP will continue in a teaching and counseling capacity where he will focus on theology classes and will also fill the critical role of Guidance Counselor for our students. Tom’s commitment to the mission and success of LNCP continues through his transition into this new role. A personal letter from Tom is included in this communication.
The Board will conduct a search for a new Principal for LNCP. Please keep the Board of LNCP in your prayers as they begin this process. In conjunction with the changes taking place Wayne Wenzel has been appointed Assistant Principal.
Planning for the opening of the new Academies of Fine Arts, Business and Health Sciences in the fall of 2012 is well underway and on target. We are excited to report we already have more applications for the class of 2016 than any class currently in the building. You will be hearing more information about how these academies will provide opportunities for LNCP students to learn and excel in the coming months.
It is very clear to all of us that God has big plans for LNCP and we are grateful for that. We need your prayers and financial support as we make needed changes to rebuild LNCP where students receive an outstanding education in a Christ-centered environment.
Happy New Year!
Sheri Meyer

Luther North College Prep
FROM TOM WIEMANN
Dear Parents, Students, Alumni, and Friends of Luther North College Prep,
When I accepted the position of principal three years ago, Luther North was struggling to stay open, and in those three years I was blessed to work with wonderful and talented students, families, community members, alumni, staff and faculty who helped save Luther North. I am proud to say that Luther North is moving toward becoming an exemplary college prep high school. I am confident that the future looks bright for the school and that the direction the school is taking will result in one of the most successful turnarounds in the history of parochial education.
Therefore, I feel my purpose as principal to keep the school open until a sustainable plan could be implemented has been fulfilled. Consequently, I am happy to let you know that I am going to rediscover my true passion and move back into the classroom for the second semester. I am eager to reconnect with all of the supportive students and families whom we serve so well. My new role will enable me to continue to provide spiritual leadership at Luther North, a role which I value immeasurably.
After 35+ years of serving at Luther North, God has blessed me with the opportunity to work side by side with some very dedicated people. I would like to thank them for their support during those three very challenging years as I served our school as principal. In addition, the students and families of Luther North have been and will continue to be in my prayers as we go forward together. “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. . . And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. “ (Philippians 1:3-11)
In His Name,
Tom Wiemann, Class of ‘70
