Entrance Requirements
First Year Students
All students desiring to enter Luther North as freshmen must present:
- Evidence of eighth grade graduation from an elementary school.
- An application, countersigned by his or her parents, asking for admission to Luther North “knowing that this is a Christian school and wishing to benefit from its Christian instruction.”
- A copy of his or her most recent report card and standardized test scores.
- A certified copy of his or her birth certificate. (Per Illinois State Law 95-0439)
Stanford Achievement Tests and Otis-Lennon Mental Ability Tests are administered to all applicants to determine their level of preparation for the academic program at Luther North. These tests are also used to determine a student’s placement in various courses during the freshman year.
Notice of acceptance will be sent as soon as all required evaluations and a birth certificate have been received. The acceptance package will also include information on course registration for freshman year.
Upperclass Students
Students desiring to transfer to Luther North from other high schools must present:
- An application, countersigned by his or her parents, asking for admission to Luther North “knowing that this is a Christian school and wishing to benefit from its Christian instruction.”
- Transcripts of credits from previous high schools
- Satisfactory attendance and disciplinary records
- A certified copy of his or her birth certificate.
