Social Science
Of the three required credits, one must be in United States History, one half in American Government, and one-half in Economics. The remaining credit may be fulfilled by any of the department’s other offerings. For students who enter Luther North as freshmen, that credit is to be in World Geography and World Civilizations. Entrepreneurship may not be substituted for the Economics course requirement.
The Social Science department had the highest average AP score of any department in 2008-2009. Nearly 70% of the eligible students received a 3 or higher on the AP exam.
